    The CXSD61055 is a fully integrated, high– efficiency 2A synchronous rectified step-down converter.The CXSD61055 operates at high efficiency over a wide output current load range.HyN嘉泰姆

    The CXSD61055 is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellent transientHyN嘉泰姆
response with no extra external compensation components. This device contains an internal,HyN嘉泰姆
low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600K operating frequency toHyN嘉泰姆
ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DC performance. HyN嘉泰姆
Error AmplifierHyN嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (V FB) and outputs aHyN嘉泰姆
current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is then used to chargeHyN嘉泰姆
or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage, which is used toHyN嘉泰姆
control the power MOSFET current.The optimized internal compensation network minimizes theHyN嘉泰姆
external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. HyN嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartHyN嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingHyN嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)HyN嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SS overridesHyN嘉泰姆
REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher than REF, REFHyN嘉泰姆
regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms. Over-Current-Protection and HiccupHyN嘉泰姆
The CXSD61055 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueHyN嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FBHyN嘉泰姆
is below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold,typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isHyN嘉泰姆
triggered, the CXSD61055 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. This protection modeHyN嘉泰姆
is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The average short circuitHyN嘉泰姆
current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect the regulator. The CXSD61055HyN嘉泰姆
exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition is removed. HyN嘉泰姆
Startup and ShutdownHyN嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TheHyN嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theHyN嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingHyN嘉泰姆
circuitries. Three events can shut down the chip: EN low, VIN low and thermal shutdown. In theHyN嘉泰姆
shutdown procedure, the signaling path is first blocked to avoid any fault triggering. The COMPHyN嘉泰姆
voltage and the internal supply rail are then pulled down. The floating driver is not subject toHyN嘉泰姆
this shutdown command.HyN嘉泰姆
