Internal Regulator HQZ嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentHQZ嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsHQZ嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KHQZ嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCHQZ嘉泰姆
performance.HQZ嘉泰姆

Error AmplifierHQZ嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andHQZ嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenHQZ嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,HQZ嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationHQZ嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. HQZ嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartHQZ嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingHQZ嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)HQZ嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSHQZ嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanHQZ嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.HQZ嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccupHQZ嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueHQZ嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isHQZ嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isHQZ嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThisHQZ嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averageHQZ嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect theHQZ嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isHQZ嘉泰姆
removed. HQZ嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown HQZ嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TheHQZ嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theHQZ嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingHQZ嘉泰姆
