一,产品概述(General Description)   eVl嘉泰姆


    The CXSD61036 is high efficiency synchronous,PWM step-downeVl嘉泰姆
DC/DC converters working under an input voltageeVl嘉泰姆
range of 2.5V to 5.5V. This feature makes the CXSD61036 suitableeVl嘉泰姆
for single Li-lon battery-powered applications.100% duty cycleeVl嘉泰姆
capability extends battery life in portable devices, while the quiescenteVl嘉泰姆
current is 200 A with no load, and drops to < 1 A in shutdown.eVl嘉泰姆
       The internal synchronous switch is  desired to increase efficiencyeVl嘉泰姆
without an external Schottky diode. The 1.4 MHz fixed switchingeVl嘉泰姆
frequency allows the using of tiny,low profile inductors and ceramiceVl嘉泰姆
capacitors,which minimized overall solution footprinteVl嘉泰姆
        The CXSD61036 converters are available in the industry standardeVl嘉泰姆
SOT-23-5 power packages (or upon request)eVl嘉泰姆

INDUCTOR SELECTIONeVl嘉泰姆

For most applications, the value of the inductor will fall in the range of 1μH to 4.7μH. Its value iseVl嘉泰姆
chosen based on the desired ripple current. Large value inductors lower ripple current and smalleVl嘉泰姆
value inductors result in higher ripple currents. Higher VIN or VOUT also increases the ripple
eVl嘉泰姆

current as shown in equation 1. A reasonable starting point for setting ripple current is
IL =240mA (40% of 600mA).eVl嘉泰姆
The DC current rating of the inductor should be at least equal to the maximum load current pluseVl嘉泰姆
half the ripple current to prevent core saturation. Thus, a 720mA rated inductor should beeVl嘉泰姆
enough for most applications (600mA + 120mA). For better efficiency, choose a low DC-resistanceeVl嘉泰姆
inductor.eVl嘉泰姆
Different core materials and shapes will change the size/current and price/current relationship ofeVl嘉泰姆
an inductor. Toroid or shielded pot cores in ferrite or permalloy materials are small and don’teVl嘉泰姆
radiate much energy, but generally cost more than powdered iron core inductors with similareVl嘉泰姆
electrical characteristics. The choice of which style inductor to use often depends more on the
eVl嘉泰姆

price vs size requirements and any radiated field/EMI requirements than on what the CXSD61036eVl嘉泰姆

requires to operate. Table 1 shows some typical surface mount inductors that work well ineVl嘉泰姆
