    The CXSD61036 is high efficiency synchronous,PWM step-downKtl嘉泰姆
DC/DC converters working under an input voltageKtl嘉泰姆
range of 2.5V to 5.5V. This feature makes the CXSD61036 suitableKtl嘉泰姆
for single Li-lon battery-powered applications.100% duty cycleKtl嘉泰姆
capability extends battery life in portable devices, while the quiescentKtl嘉泰姆
current is 200 A with no load, and drops to < 1 A in shutdown.Ktl嘉泰姆
       The internal synchronous switch is  desired to increase efficiencyKtl嘉泰姆

INDUCTOR SELECTIONKtl嘉泰姆

For most applications, the value of the inductor will fall in the range of 1μH to 4.7μH. Its value isKtl嘉泰姆
chosen based on the desired ripple current. Large value inductors lower ripple current and smallKtl嘉泰姆
value inductors result in higher ripple currents. Higher VIN or VOUT also increases the rippleKtl嘉泰姆

current as shown in equation 1. A reasonable starting point for setting ripple current is

The DC current rating of the inductor should be at least equal to the maximum load current plusKtl嘉泰姆
half the ripple current to prevent core saturation. Thus, a 720mA rated inductor should beKtl嘉泰姆
enough for most applications (600mA + 120mA). For better efficiency, choose a low DC-resistanceKtl嘉泰姆

electrical characteristics. The choice of which style inductor to use often depends more on theKtl嘉泰姆

price vs size requirements and any radiated field/EMI requirements than on what the CXSD61036Ktl嘉泰姆

requires to operate. Table 1 shows some typical surface mount inductors that work well inKtl嘉泰姆
