     The CXSD61054 is a fully in tegrated , high-efficiency  2.0A  synchronous  rectified step-down  converter.  The CXSD61054 operates at high efficiencyU0x嘉泰姆
over a wide output current load range.This device offers two operation modes,PWM control and PFM Mode switching control, which allows a highU0x嘉泰姆

Internal Regulator U0x嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054 is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentU0x嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsU0x嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KU0x嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCU0x嘉泰姆
performance.U0x嘉泰姆

Error AmplifierU0x嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andU0x嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenU0x嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,U0x嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationU0x嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. U0x嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartU0x嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingU0x嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)U0x嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSU0x嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanU0x嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.U0x嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccupU0x嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueU0x嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isU0x嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isU0x嘉泰姆
triggered, the CXSD61054 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThisU0x嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averageU0x嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect theU0x嘉泰姆
regulator. The CXSD61054 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isU0x嘉泰姆
removed. U0x嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown U0x嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TheU0x嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theU0x嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingU0x嘉泰姆
