     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-up03W嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. Power03W嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less than03W嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU6303403W嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltage03W嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency at03W嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input and03W嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.03W嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effect03W嘉泰姆
in DCM mode. The CXSU63034 is available in SOT23-6 package.03W嘉泰姆

1)General Description03W嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.03W嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve high03W嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at a03W嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses the03W嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse width03W嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device can03W嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and the03W嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.03W嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation 03W嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peak03W嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at a03W嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of each03W嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on and03W嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximum03W嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the error03W嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and the03W嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This control03W嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting which03W嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and the03W嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.03W嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification 03W嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier to03W嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need for03W嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier is03W嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by the03W嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. The03W嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOS03W嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporates03W嘉泰姆
