     The CXSU63034 is a highly efficient fix frequencysynchronous step-up6V6嘉泰姆
DC/DC converter. Output voltage of the device is adjustable. Power6V6嘉泰姆
dissipation during operation is only 40μA typical and drops to less than6V6嘉泰姆
1μA in shutdown. The 0.85V to 5V input voltage range makes the CXSU630346V6嘉泰姆
ideally suitable for single cell Li-ion battery, single or dual AA battery voltage6V6嘉泰姆
step-up applications. Automatic PFM Mode operation increases efficiency at6V6嘉泰姆
light loads, further extend battery life. Switching frequency is internally set at 1.2MHz, design for use of small value surface mount inductor, input and6V6嘉泰姆
output capacitors. The internal synchronous switchesenhance efficiency.6V6嘉泰姆
Anti-ringing control circuitry reduces EMI by damping the inductance effect6V6嘉泰姆
in DCM mode. The CXSU63034 is available in SOT23-6 package.6V6嘉泰姆

1)General Description6V6嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is a synchronous step-up DC-DC converter.6V6嘉泰姆
It utilizes internal MOSFET switches to achieve high6V6嘉泰姆
efficiency over full load current range. It operates at a6V6嘉泰姆
fixed switching frequency of 1.2MHz, and uses the6V6嘉泰姆
slope compensated peak current mode pulse width6V6嘉泰姆
modulation (PWM) architecture. The device can6V6嘉泰姆
operate with an input voltage below 1V and the6V6嘉泰姆
minimum start-up voltage is 0.85V.6V6嘉泰姆
2) Current Mode Operation 6V6嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 is based on a slope compensated peak6V6嘉泰姆
current mode PWM control topology. It operates at a6V6嘉泰姆
fixed frequency of 1.2MHz. At the beginning of each6V6嘉泰姆
clock cycle, the main switch (NMOS) is turned on and6V6嘉泰姆
the inductor current starts to ramp. After the maximum6V6嘉泰姆
duty cycle or the sense current signal equals the error6V6嘉泰姆
amplifier output, the main switch is turned off and the6V6嘉泰姆
synchronous switch (PMOS) is turned on. This control6V6嘉泰姆
topology features cycle-by-cycle current limiting which6V6嘉泰姆
can prevent the main switch from overstress and the6V6嘉泰姆
external inductor from saturating.6V6嘉泰姆
3) Synchronous Rectification 6V6嘉泰姆
The CXSU63034 integrates a synchronous rectifier to6V6嘉泰姆
improve efficiency as well as to eliminate the need for6V6嘉泰姆
an external Schottky diode. The synchronous rectifier is6V6嘉泰姆
used to reduce the loss condition contributed by the6V6嘉泰姆
forward voltage of an external Schottky diode. The6V6嘉泰姆
synchronous rectifier is realized by a P-channel MOS6V6嘉泰姆
(PMOS) with gate control circuitry that incorporates6V6嘉泰姆
