     The CXSD61054 is a fully in tegrated , high-efficiency  2.0A  synchronous  rectified step-down  converter.  The CXSD61054 operates at high efficiencyRGi嘉泰姆
over a wide output current load range.

      This device offers two operation modes,PWM control and PFM ModeRGi嘉泰姆
switching control, which allows a high efficiency over the wider range of theRGi嘉泰姆

Internal Regulator RGi嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054 is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellentRGi嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containsRGi嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KRGi嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCRGi嘉泰姆
performance.

Error AmplifierRGi嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andRGi嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thenRGi嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,RGi嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationRGi嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. RGi嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StartRGi嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingRGi嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)RGi嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SSRGi嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thanRGi嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.RGi嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccupRGi嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valueRGi嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB isRGi嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV isRGi嘉泰姆
triggered, the CXSD61054 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThisRGi嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averageRGi嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect theRGi嘉泰姆
regulator. The CXSD61054 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition isRGi嘉泰姆

Startup and Shutdown RGi嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. TheRGi嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then theRGi嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingRGi嘉泰姆
